There's two good answers to that question. The Yellowrock is the favorite greeting* of all square dancers, especially the single dancers. It's also the name of SSDUSA's directory of Square Dance Clubs that welcome the single dancer. It is published by SSDUSA to encourage the single dancer to visit other clubs as they travel the USA and Canada. The profit from the sale of the directory will go into a special fund to provide a Caller/Cuer College Scholarship to assist a caller/cuer with less than three years experience. The award of the scholarship is made annually at the Dance-A-Rama.
